Our client is seeking an experienced candidate who can work in a busy finance office, you will be responsible for dealing with all aspects of suppliers' accounts. In particular - Managing the purchase order process, sourcing alternative products, checking ETA’s, updating department leaders on shortages, checking invoices.

Responsibilities:

  • Raising purchase orders in Sage

  • Getting purchase orders authorised and then subsequently placing the order with the supplier
  • Confirming delivery dates
  • Liaising directly with suppliers regarding pricing, terms, quotes, queries, issues etc
  • Expediting live orders to ensure delivery is on time, in full
  • Updating relevant managers on any order delays
  • Improving the purchase order system
  • Setting up and updating suppliers, pricing and stock codes as applicable
  • Sourcing new suppliers and alternative goods to achieve cost savings
  • Overseeing the purchase ledger and aiding with entering invoices and sorting queries
  • Checking invoices
  • Stock Control
  • Aiding the purchasing coordinator
  • General office admin, filing and other accounts related ad-hoc work

Skills/Attributes/Experience:

  • Previous Purchasing / Purchase Ledger experience is ESSENTIAL
  • Own transport due to location is ESSENTIAL
  • Sage systems experience
  • Good excel skills
  • Confident and professional manner
  • Well organised
  • Flexibility
