Finance Administrator

Location: Nottingham

Salary: £9.49 per hour

Hours: Part Time 9am - 3.30pm (3 days a week must work Fridays)

Duration: Temporary leading to permanent

Start: Monday 15th October

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day to day financial processing of all accounting transactions
  • Undertake the day to day input of transactions using the Quickbooks system
  • Raise purchase orders on the Excel database
  • Process purchase ledger invoices
  • Raise sales invoices
  • Review, check and reimburse petty cash floats as necessary
  • Carry out monthly credit card reconciliation
  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations
  • Generate monthly BACS payment runs
  • Maintain financial systems with the Finance Officer and the Head of Finance and Business Services
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Ensure accurate monthly input of wage costs
  • General administration

Skills/Experience/Attributes

The ideal candidate should demonstrate the following qualities:

  • Experience of working in a financial administration role including responsibility for processing payments, income, banking and petty cash
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks accounting system or similar (training given)
  • Enhanced DBS check is desirable
  • Experience working within a busy environment
  • Computer literate
  • Experience using Excel and ability to create and update spreadsheets
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Organised
  • Good interpersonal skills
