Part Time Finance & Admin Assistant - FLEXIBLE HOURS!

Our client, an independently owned company are seeking a skilled individual to join them on a part time basis to provide finance and administrative support to their small team!

You will often to be the ‘face’ of the company as the first point of contact, ensuring politeness at all times and adhering to company values!

This role is ideal for a working parent, and hours can be flexible (within reason).

Ideally the successful candidate will live locally to Ilkeston.

  • Ilkeston, DE7
  • £10.50 - £11.50 per hour 
  • 20 hours per week, ideally over 5 days - SCHOOL HOURS AVAILABLE 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the administration of the day to day finances, raising purchase orders for goods, BACS payments, handling supplier/customer invoices, updating cashbooks and so on
  • Assist in the administration of the payment of bills
  • Assist in the preparation & processing of bank reconciliation and month end accounts
  • Often first point of call on the telephone and meeting and greeting of visitors
  • Ordering of general stationary, parts, materials and supplies as required
  • General administrative duties as directed e.g. managing the process of PPE cleaning
  •  Opening, checking and distribution of mail

Skills/Experience:

  • Experience in a similar role is ESSENTIAL 
  • Basic understanding of accounting functions
  • Great communication skills, hands-on personality
