PT Payroll Administrator (20 hours)

£20,000 pro rata = £10,666 per annum, £10.25 per hour
Nottingham Business Park

20 hour over 4 days (flexible on which days this is)

Our client is recruiting for a proactive and self-motivated individual, who will be responsible for all collating monthly payroll information for employees (approx. 375 employees) and undertake the monthly payroll processes whilst working with an external payroll bureau on a part-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the first point of contact for all matters relating to payroll
  • Process new starters and leavers
  • Collate the monthly payroll and send to the external payroll provider
  • Ensure all changes made are accurate and correct
  • Fully investigate any discrepancies or variances to ensure all pay is correct
  • Manage payroll-focussed staff benefits and pensions data
  • Calculate all statutory pay
  • Manage absence records and annual leave information
  • Ensuring accurate electronic employee records are maintained on the HR System

Skills / Experience / Attributes
The ideal candidate should demonstrate the following qualities:

  • Previous experience within Payroll Administration
  • Good understanding of payroll operations, HMRC and Pensions
  • Inquisitive and a problem solver
  • Confident with IT and systems (Cascade HR would be advantageous)
  • Strong time management and organisation skills
  • A methodical approach with a good eye for detail
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Professional and confidential
  • Positive, calm and patient personality
