Sales Manager - Events (Events Experience NOT Essential)

Our client is seeking to appoint a Sales Manager to drive and build sales into their premier events venue! You will manage  the sales within the business, and deliver exceptional, tailored events with communication and relationship building at the forefront! This is a hands on role based in the facility which is in a stunning location! There will be no physical event management involved in this role. 

You will connect with potential event attendees as well discovering prospective members, whilst developing business ideas and campaign progress using feedback from existing customers!

This role will also include building your network by meeting attendees and using social media channels.

  • £25,000 - £32,000 per annum, DOE
  • £2000 - £3000 bonus annually
  • Permanent, full time - this role will involve Saturday working, with a day off in the week!
  • NG6 - driving license is ESSENTIAL for this role

Responsibilities:

  • Keep records up-to-date and pre-qualify leads using company databases, such as the CRM system
  • Working with the marketing team regarding potential leads
  • Maximise sales across accommodation, meetings & events, conference & banqueting, promoting the hotel estate & facilities available
  • Reactive sales - follow up, finalise and complete leads coming in from the central sales team as well as enquiries coming direct into the venue
  • Carry out site inspections/show rounds to potential guests & customers
  • Managing client / agent account bookings to build and maintain relationships
  • Undertaking day to day enquiry handling and event co-ordination
  • Communication with the Meeting and Events team to create fantastic experiences
  • Arranging and conducting show arounds

Experience:

  • A full, UK driving license
  • Happy to work a 5 day week inc Saturday 
  • Experience in a similar role is ESSENTIAL
  • Confident, well-presented and articulate
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A natural communicator
