Working within the Commercial Team based in Alfreton the job involves:
Job responsibilities:
- Being the first contact for incoming consumable, parts & cylinder sales enquiries and where necessary see the enquiry through to closure.
- Generating list price quotes with pricing set by the Head of Consumables or colleagues when appropriate eg. Urgent quotes required when the sales team are on the road.
- Generating list less quotes up to £1K or an agreed value with the Head of Consumables.
- Generating quotations for existing customers repeat orders.
- Regular follow up of quotations sent to customers and routinely calling regular customers to nurture / develop consumables related business through the development of Customer/Prospect relationships.
- Replying same day to web enquires by sending quotations, information or acknowledgement of the enquiry.
- Logging / Storing all quotes on the server customer folder.
- Loading purchase orders and creating sales orders.
- Sending customer Order Acknowledgments / product literature.
- Raising proforma’s where necessary.
- Monitoring minimum / maximum consumables stock levels re: ordering or highlighting shortfalls.
- Liaising with stores with regards packing notes delivery instructions.
- Raising PO’s with suppliers for all consumable orders with drop ship address.
- Monitoring schedule orders, contacting key customers with regards to despatching / deliveries.
- Updating protean selling prices.
- Managing any part sales invoicing & Invoice queries that may arise relating to consumable sales.
- Assisting in the preparation of any customer support documentation required.
Minimum requirements for the position:
- A strong sales and general sales administrator background with a passion for customer service.
- IT literate and proficient in Microsoft office suite. CRM software experience desirable.
- Work must be consistently accurate, timely and complete with emphasis on promoting the employer as the supplier of choice.
- Very good communication skills are required with the ability to express information in a clear and concise manner.
- Adequate preparation for meetings as well as skills in listening and understanding other points of view are needed.
