Operations Supervisor

Due to continued growth, our client is seeking to appoint an experienced Operations Supervisor to support both the customer service requirements and in-house manufacturing.
With a profit share incentive in place, this is a hands-on role where the successful applicant would be joining on the ground floor as the business begins to roll out across several sales channels!
This position offers considerable potential and will work closely with the Director!

  • £22,000 per annum (plus quarterly bonus which brings the total package to £25,000 per annum)

 

Responsibilities:

  • Advise and support Customer Service staff
  • Assist the Production Supervisor with the smooth running of in-house production, quality control and despatch times
  • Review order volumes produced both in-house and by external suppliers
  • Monitor the performance of external suppliers
  • Monitor stock levels and reorder on Sage when required
  • Work with the Director to introduce new product ranges

Skills/Experience:

  • A flexible and enthusiastic approach to work
  • Demonstrate a Commercial ability
  • Communication skills
  • Excel skills
  • SAGE experience would be beneficial but not essential

Production Controller

Hours: Monday - Thursday 8.00am - 5.00pm, Friday 8.00am - 4.00pm

Salary Circa £25,000 Per Annum

Our client is seeking an experienced production controller who has strong communication skills and time management. You will be working closely with suppliers and project managers to help maintain a smooth process and knit everything together!

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate internal resources (with the manufacturing team and the drawing and installation departments) and third parties/vendors for seamless execution of projects
  • Processing orders and liaising with internal departments as well as subcontractors
  • Scheduling work to various departments
  • The ideal candidate will have a good understanding and be able to read design drawings
  • Good receipting order placed
  • General housekeeping
  • Liaising with production ensuring the client needs are met
  • Sourcing materials whilst mainlining good relationships and ensuring best possible prices are achieved from suppliers
  • Maintaining good relationships with clients and suppliers

8.30am - 5.00pm Monday - Friday

Our client is seeking a production and inventory assistant to support the Production Team in maintaining the UK and overseas purchase lines.

Reporting to the production manager, the suitable candidate will help track tasks, deliverables and issues through to completion and resolution. This position interfaces with multiple internal functions as well as directly with external vendors.

Able to work in a busy and fast moving open plan office with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and adhere to multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicating with our UK and overseas contracted printer and print finishers
  • Sourcing and purchasing adhoc components including POS, display units, consumables and stationery
  • Tracking Work In Progress reports & Service Level Agreements and escalating issues.
  • Investigating delivery and QC issues with printers and other suppliers
  • Proof reading and approving pre-production samples
  • Assisting with inventory maintenance
  • Supporting the production manager and sales team with ad-hoc reporting and projects as required
  • Managing and executing sampling requests
  • General administrative function to keep department organised and share information

Experience:

  • Experience in a similar role is ESSENTIAL
  • Experience working in project management or purchasing is highly desired
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Ability to anticipate and manage problems, escalating where necessary
  • Positive can-do attitude
  • Excellent team player
  • Ability to learn quickly and retain knowledge
