Warehouse Manager

Due to substantial growth, our client is seeking to appoint an experienced Warehouse Manager! As well as managing the distribution of print and packaging products to local industry via their own lorries, the position also includes looking after the daily despatch of all orders via their busy ecommerce site!

You will oversee a growing team of 10 staff and to assist with the implementation of Sage 200. The position will involve taking responsibility for all elements of the warehouse, including:

  • Manage a team of ten staff
  • Health & Safety
  • Recruitment and training
  • Manage all goods in and out, including returns.
  • Forklift trucks – both Counterbalance and Reach
  • Assist with the implementation of Sage 200
  • Creating bar codes and scanning goods in and out
  • Managing lorries including the legal requirements for tachographs and drivers’ hours
  • Stock takes and pallet allocation
  • Dealing with parcel and freight couriers
  • Maintaining organisation and cleanliness in warehouse
  • Identify and apply efficiency improvements

Warehouse Manager

Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager, responsible for warehousing functions and staff, ensuring stock is received, put away, stored, picked and despatched. Reporting into the Operations Director, you will be responsible for ensuring stock integrity and reporting is in place.

You will be managing the entire warehouse function, including supervisors and staff to ensure operational efficiencies and controls are in place. As well as management duties, this role involves working in a fast moving, 24x7 warehouse environment being part of the Operations team.

Location: Bilborough

Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all Warehouse functions across the business

• Responsible for Outbound Logistics operators and ensuring they are fit for purpose and meeting SLA (working closely with the Logistics Manager)

• Ensuring stock is controlled and all orders are picked and shipped correctly

• Responsible for maintaining stock accuracy via regular stock takes (working closely with Inventory Team)

• Responsible for the Picking and packing stock function for orders to SLA’s

• Manage warehouse operational shift cover

• Providing training of new staff

• Day to day supervision across the Warehouse function of staff ensuring high standards are maintained at all times.

• Providing support to all team members and wider

Skills and Experience:

• Experience in a similar role is ESSENTIAL

• Able to work across multiple sites as required

• Good knowledge of MS Office packages

• Excellent telephone manner and interpersonal skills

• Excellent oral & written communications skills •

• Good org/planning skills

• Ability to prioritise & organise own work

• Ability to apply initiative to non-standard problems

Warehouse Manager

Our client is seeking to appoint an experienced Warehouse Manager to support their business. The role is to manage all aspects of the warehouse including Goods In, Stocktaking, Inventory, Picking, Packing and Returns and Despatch. This role has additional responsibilities to lead, manage, coach and develop the existing Warehouse team.

Long Eaton

£25,000 - £32,000 Per Annum

Full-time, permanent, Mon - Fri 8.30am - 5.00pm

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring all operational KPI's and company requirements are met, tracked and improved.

• Be instrumental in the day-to-day running and cleanliness of the warehouse, managing order volumes, daily workload and continuous process improvements.

• Managing and initiate specific improvement projects.

• Manage staff appraisals and disciplinary matters that may arise.

• Manage the Fork Lift Trucks (Maintenance / Servicing)

• Be responsible to create and document SOPs, Work Instructions, etc.

• Challenge existing processes, providing input on continual improvements which increase capacity and efficiency.

• Ability to manage staff productivity and performance.

• Lead, manage, coach and develop existing Warehouse team.

• Maintain all warehouse operational standards and processes and ensures all team members follow procedures to improve efficiency.

 

Key Skills:

• Demonstrable previous experience in warehouse management at a manager or supervisory level is essential.

• Experience in SAGE accounts systems or similar, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Email.

• Knowledge and experience in warehousing Health and Safety.

• Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations.

• Strong and confident communicator with people on all levels and a hands-on commitment to getting the job done.

• The ability to multi-task and prioritise your own and your teams work-load effectively.

• Strong organisational and time management skills.

• Initiative to solve problems unaided.

• Team working skills and the ability to lead and motivate others.

• Forklift Truck Licences (Counter Balance & Reach)
