Our client is seeking to appoint a bright and honest individual who is eager to become an integral member of their Purchasing team! You will be professional in dealing with internal customers and external supply chain partners. Thinking outside of the box will come naturally to you, as well as having a 'will-do' attitude and ruthless work ethic!
You will be organised and a team player who is always willing to go that extra mile to support colleagues and clients.

Previous experience in Purchasing is NOT ESSENTIAL. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive, ambitious and positive individual to begin their career, or for individuals with purchasing experience to continue on their journey!

Responsibilities:

  • Develop strong relationships with suppliers
  • Ensure high value orders are ordered and shipped in accordance with security procedures
  • Working with the business and product managers to ensure appropriate stock levels are set and managed
  • Ensure appropriate supplier and customer pricing portals are kept up to date
  • On-board new vendors and supplies as required
  • Work with product managers to manage product sourcing, pricing and lead time management for run rate and special-order items
  • Help develop new processes and tools to support the product operations teams through the growth of the business
  • Ensure purchase orders are placed in a timely manner and chasing deliveries
  • Ensure problems with orders and goods in queries are managed and dealt with effectively

Skills/Attributes/Experience:

  • Previous experience in Purchasing is NOT ESSENTIAL, however experience in an office environment would be advantageous
  • Recent Graduate of the last 2-3 years in any discipline
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills at all levels
  • Commercial acumen, ability to analyze data to make and justify decisions
  • Proficient IT skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly and pro-actively

Senior Buyer

| SENIOR BUYER |

Our client is seeking to appoint an experienced procurement professional who has an excellent understanding of indirect procurement. You will get a thrive when negotiating large contracts, with a focus on adding value. You'll play a key role in contributing to the overall success of the business and will bring strong commercial acumen alongside a wealth of experience!

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Continuous improvements focused on processes and procedures
  • Commercially responsible for all sub contractors installing products both UK and overseas
  • Reporting to the Head of Procurement, you will manage the purchase requisition process ensuring PO are placed in a timely manner
  • Direct line management of one team member

Skills/Experience/Attributes:

  • Experience in a similar SENIOR purchasing or buying role is ESSENTIAL
  • Experience of implementing cost savings/ cost avoidance initiatives
  • Implementing efficiencies of transactional requirements
  • Be enthusiastic and passionate about negotiations and improving purchasing relationships with suppliers and internally
  • Great at building relationships and driving value from our procurement activities
  • Ability to negotiate contracts with significant variation in value and duration
  • Excellent communication and inter personal skills
  • IT literate – specifically MS Office packages, including Excel
  • Appropriate professional qualification, i.e. CIPS is highly desirable

Purchase Ledger Clerk

TWO THIRDS PURCHASE!

| PURCHASE LEDGER CLERK|

|TEMPORARY TO PERMANENT |

| £9.61 TO £10.28 PER HOUR! |

Hours: Full Time, Monday - Friday between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm

Start date: 25th of February 2019!

 

Key Duties:

  • Purchase Ledger (70% of your day!)
  • Raising credits on in-house system
  • An understanding of an intergrated IT system for managing accounts
  • Dealing with goods reciepts
  • Statement reconciliations
  • Credit queries and investigation
  • Invoice queries
  • Occasional Reception duties

Skills, Attributes & Experience:

  • General sales/purchase ledger experience
  • Minimal Excel skills
  • An understanding of both sterling and other currency
  • Able to use initiative
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Comfortable being on the telephone
  • Communication skills
  • Flexible and organised
